I've been writing on and off for most of my life — quietly, in the margins of things, the way most poets do. Now in my mid-forties, I find myself looking back at a body of work I never quite knew what to do with.

A few years ago, a dear friend asked me to compile my poems into a book. Life has a way of complicating even our best intentions, and for a while, that promise sat unfinished between us. But recently we reconnected — and with that, something in me stirred again.

This collection is the beginning of that promise kept. It's not a book yet, but it's a start — poems posted on my own corner of the internet, offered to anyone who happens to find them. I hope something here speaks to you.
